Unfortunately, the pelican does not sit or stand as others have mentioned. It is cute, but non-functional for my 9-month old. The pelican just slumps on the floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's very cute but it does NOT sit up like the picture shows It must be hung in order for a child to use it. We ended up hanging it in the car for him to play with only drive somewhere. Very disappointed
