I am struck by the poor directions. I am a shop teacher. Visual aids are necessary especially when the product is being used by children for safety reasons alone!. I could have bought many different easels but went to M and D for their reputation and paid extra for it. In these reviews, those who are having problems assembling is because they probably put some pieces together backwards. There is no clear indication otherwise. PLEASE redo steps 1 and 2 with a visual that makes sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product is very low quality. I had to use power tools to fix the incorrectly drilled holes. Only a few were done correctly, most were too shallow or too deep. Definitely not worth the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My 11 year old daughter LOVES this. She is autistic and paints every evening as part of her routine. It was fairly easy to assemble and the paint cleans up nicely.

The final product is solid and sturdy. We did find the instructions problematic; not sure that the parts were labeled correctly. Once put together, it is working exactly as expected!

Some letters in the magnetic alphabet letters are missing. I would like those replaced.
