Was excited to get for my daughter a new version of the Fashion Plates I played with in the '80s. Seems to work well, but it didn't come with paper, I'm wishing for an expansion pack, and I was surprised at the lack of diversity in the heads/hair.

My daughter (7) loves this. Her brother (6) also loves it, and will happily color dresses and outfits because the activity is so much fun. But he would love to have a set with cars, animals, nature - something other than fashion and princesses. Any chance M&D will make a non-fashion, non-princess version of this?

My 3 year old and 5 year old divas love this. Incorporates fashion and coloring, their two favorite things. Would like to find more plates for more combinations.

So much fun! I had some like these as a child. I would spend hours with them. My little girl is just as dazzled. We spend hours mixing and matching. I just wish there were some expnsion packs. More plates would be awesome!
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value, Interactive
Cons: Needs expansion kits, Needs refills

Bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She loved it. Her mother had one when she was younger. She loved it too. Unfortunately, my granddaughter wanted to play with it immediately. She was very disappointed there was no paper included and had to wait while we tried to find the right size plain paper. My suggestion, include a nominal amount of paper to get the kids started, while we adults find more paper. My granddaughter absolutely loves designing and coloring the designs with this kit.

My daughter is six ( almost seven) and has used this to create her own "fashion portfolio". I love that the styles presented are fashionable but not suggestive- exactly what I was looking for. Please, Melissa & Doug, come out with an expansion pack of plates! I know it would be a great seller- the kids get bored using the same couple plates over and over.
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Encourages creativity, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value

This item is like my little girl had 20 plus yrs ago and she loved it. This is easy to use, fun, imaginative and what little girl does not like to be a dress designer. My sons had one too for cars and I cannot find them now. I hope you make one with one with cars, trucks, even animals that are more boy appealing. Even the option of extra plates would be nice. The girls love this and would very much like to buy some for the boys.
