plastic snapped. cheap desing

The locking bracket snapped during normal operation. I guess, not designed for the stress. We used it 2-3 times a month and I am pretty disappointed it broke so fast. I will be looking to buy a metal case juicer in the future.

Platic lid cracks - and I am not the only one.

I got this juicer a few years ago (2019) I have enjoyed using it, it is easy to assemble and makes great juice. You do have to pre-cut your ingredient far more then I expected. Although This juicer has a large feed shoot, however it does get jammed up when juicing recipes with celery, or ginger which can be very frustrating. I also have cracks appearing on the lid as many have mentioned below. I hope that Breville addresses this issues. Also, this slow juicer looks identical to some Kuvings models and wonder who is making this juicer. Same screen and juice and pulp containers, same auger etc. I hope Breville will replace the lid.

Good but delicate and timely to clean

The screen mesh is not difficult to clean but takes longer to clean then to make the juice and fibrous veggies like celery get stuck and clogged. Putting in whole fruit is a problem with the soft mesh. Our mesh has a tear as a result.

I have wanted a Breville juicer for a very long time, and I finally got one recently. I knew I wanted the slow compression juicer, and not the centrifugal ones, for a better quality of juice and higher yield. Plus, it is slow, and quiet, the centrifugal ones always made me feel rushed because they blades would spin so fast and so loudly. So, I am VERY please with this. It does what it says, and it does it well. The very best part about this juicer, aside from the juice it produces, is the fact that it is very simple to clean, provided you clean it pretty quickly after use. I could never clean the blades that well in a centrifugal juicer, and there was always debris left over. This one, being the type that it is, cleaning it is magical. I read a few reviews about rust on the steel in the basket, it made me a little nervous, but due to the high volume of great reviews, I ordered it anyway. Mine arrived as beautifully as I hoped it would, and there is no evidence of rust. It is really just a beautiful experience altogether.

We're sorry to hear of your difficulties with your BJS700 when using celery. As noted in the manual, we do advise that for fibrous leafy vegetables (celery, kale, collard greens, etc.), that the stems be cut into 2 inch long pieces, and that the leafy part be bundled up as you insert them into the juicer. This will cut down on the clogging experienced. Please reach out if other issues or questions arise. We'll be happy to help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love everything about this juicer. It was so easy to set up and use. You can put a whole apple in there with no problem. It is very quiet which is great cause I use it in the early mornings. I love the juice consistency and it yields a lot. It is super easy to clean. I am hooked on it now. I been using it to make all different kinds of healthy drinks.
