Installation was not complex at all, just time consuming running cables through attics/walls, but nothing sophisticated. The DVR was super easy to navigate, no complaints what so ever on managing its settings. And the cameras themselves are awesome, both day and night. The first system I've ever bought, and I have it connected to broadcast as well (meaning I can see my home from a phone/tablet), absolutely love that. The app itself is super simple, the main use is seeing things live, if you plan to replay stuff the DVR is the way to go.
The only thing pending is to see how many days it can record continuously (didn't want to set it up for motion only). If it gives me at least a good 2 weeks, I have no complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great cameras for the price. Clarity is excellent. Only thing I would add is I wish the mounting base had an 'infinite' angle capability.

Set up was easy and picture quality is fine. The DVR is extremely loud. I have it in my bedroom but may have to change wires to place in another room.

These cameras are on point. The mosst minute details are clearly visable. Between the better-than-expected image quality, the UI on the XHD50 is hands down the most refined and polished SecCamUI I've ever had the pleasure of interfacing with.

I bought this a year ago so it's been through all 4 season of snow zone living without any problems other than having to occasionally clean the spider webs off the cameras. The daytime images are very clear, the night time IR images are clear as well although not as clear as the daytime which stands to reason. I have experienced no problems with the phone app for alerts, real time and recorded video. The cameras are located both under house eaves as well as one exposed to the elements (unavoidable) yet they are continue to work the same.
