years old and still sounds new

my dad had the bose accoustimass 5 system for 21 years when he gave it to me and i have had it for a little over a year and even though the reciever is getting old they still sound amazing

great great great speakers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two sets of AM 5 series II I bought over 20 years ago and I have them hooked up to my Oynko System and the sound is out of this world when I put a dvd movie just get your popcorn the sound is like your in a movie theater. I love these speakers. pleanty of bass shakes the house. Also the sound is super clear.I will put these speakers up against any name brand speakers. As for me these speakers are the BEST.

Simply the best

I purchased by am5 series II in 1993 while I was in the Army. I still own them and use them in my home theater set up. I have killed three AV receivers but my am5 keep ticking. The sound is just awesome, crisp clean highs and mids plus disturbing the neighbors lows. I too was hit my hurricane Harvey but because it was a hurricane and you have days of warning to prepare...the day before it made landfall I secured all my valuable possessions in a high elevation with waterproof containment such as pictures, computers, my Bose am5 and evacuated. My house suffered water and wind damage. All the items I secured were fine including the am5. Waterlogged bass modules for days or weeks are not poor craftsmanship on Bose, whole houses are being torn down due to water standing for days and weeks...is this due to poor craftsmanship? I own a multitude of Bose products and they all are of superior build quality, craftsmanship and sound. You get what you pay for in products and service.

Design and sound quality in one

I purchased my first Acousticmass about 15 years ago, quite happy with them, until one day a good friend (audiophile) offered me it was time to "move up" in quality and power. Tried 10 different brands, sets, with subwoofer, without one, etc. Didn't come across anything that came even close to the the detail and quality of sound that Bose delivers. Having my TV, Network music Player, CD and BlueRay all linked up, it's amazing how good all these different sources sound on my NEW Acousticmass 5. And my audiophile friend was convinced that, after all and all things considered (price tag, sound quality, design), the Bose Acousticmass 5 set is a pretty good choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my Bose Acoustimass 5 Series V. I don’t know why some of the other reviews mention no bass because there is definitely bass and I love the look of the cube speakers. Great job Bose.
