Excellent speakers

I purchased the Series 3 speakers in 1992. Used them in a home theater system till 2016. In 2016 I moved and carried them in the back of my SUV for 3 months. The past two years I’ve been using them in a stereo system. I simply love these speakers, the sound is amazing and just as great today as the day I purchased them. The design is perfect, one piece sitting on the floor and two small speakers on the self. While the base response is weak, the mids and highs spring to life. My old vinyl records come to life and take me back in time. Thanks for building such an amazing set of speakers.

high fidelity sub i cannot miss any bass notes

No bass in module acoustimass 5.

I just bought bose am5 serie 5 in 3/2018. I use the amply fx audio d802-2x80w. Actually I do not see any bass in acousmatiss module 5. Bass is not clear.

I bought these speakers for an LG shelf unit CM3370 that I just purchased and wanted better quality sound from the speakers that came with the unit especially the bass. I have Companion 2 and 3 computer speakers which sound amazing, especially the Companion 3 series II which comes with an acoustimass module. I wanted the same quality of sound on my LG shelf unit. I purchased the Acoustimass 5 Series V and the sound is amazing. They blow the speakers that came with my self unit out of the water. I also took a chance and bought a factory refurbished unit which came in sealed original packaging and looked brand new and never used. I got this for $100 less than a new unit, it may as well have been a brand new unit. For those that complained about the lack of bass; Please look into where the bass module is placed. It will sound best in the corner of the room against a wall with the opening of the module facing outward. The unit comes with long speaker and connection cables. At the same time, make sure the speaker wires are connected with the right polarity to your receiver or amp. I know most receivers have red and black terminals for each channel, but my unit had one channel red and black and the other black and white. The speaker wires come with black and red ends. In my case, the red wire of the speaker pair must go on black terminal and the black on the white. If not connected this way the speakers work but there is no bass. Overall, great speakers and these sound great including the bass!

Simply the best

I purchased by am5 series II in 1993 while I was in the Army. I still own them and use them in my home theater set up. I have killed three AV receivers but my am5 keep ticking. The sound is just awesome, crisp clean highs and mids plus disturbing the neighbors lows. I too was hit my hurricane Harvey but because it was a hurricane and you have days of warning to prepare...the day before it made landfall I secured all my valuable possessions in a high elevation with waterproof containment such as pictures, computers, my Bose am5 and evacuated. My house suffered water and wind damage. All the items I secured were fine including the am5. Waterlogged bass modules for days or weeks are not poor craftsmanship on Bose, whole houses are being torn down due to water standing for days and weeks...is this due to poor craftsmanship? I own a multitude of Bose products and they all are of superior build quality, craftsmanship and sound. You get what you pay for in products and service.

Fidelity, powerfull bass, quality!!!

I’m a week away from moving to my new house, I got these matched with the SA-5 amp for the livingroom and the Soundtouch 300 soundbar for the TV... Today I set it all up, took me 15 min. both the SA-5 and the soundbar, great for that! At the app renamed the sistems as TV and Living room and just for fun selected the “play all” IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!!! Powerful bass, outstanding quality, the only thing missing to be an all star would be the homekit enabled feature. I can’t beleave 2 small speakers could deliver so well

my dad had the bose accoustimass 5 system for 21 years when he gave it to me and i have had it for a little over a year and even though the reciever is getting old they still sound amazing

Sounds Still Awesome After 22 Years !!!

I purchased the Bose AM 5 Series 2 speakers way back in 1995 in Sri Lanka. Everytime i hear the music it still gives me the same awesome feeling when i first listened to it. Over the years my Amplifier and CD player changed but never the speakers. I was originally planning to buy the Bose 401 floor standing speakers since it was out of stock and i couldn't wait so i settled down for Bose AM 5. I sincerely hope Bose will continue this awesome model till end of time, since its the best home speakers on earth for me.
