Great for Green Smoothies Not for Smoothie Bowls

I love my Boss to Go blender. I purchased this so I could make individual sized smoothies (mostly green) in a smaller container. I love how well it blends tough ingredients like kale.
However, it does work best for smoothies with liquid and not for smoothie bowls. I tried to make a smoothie bowl based on the cookbook that came with the blender, and it hard a hard time blending everything. I felt the motor was going to overheat.
It's great for anything drinkable. In fact, it's the smoothest kale smoothie I have ever had.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's perfect for one or two people for an easy fast way to make a smoothie on the go very durable very easy to clean friendly to use. and because it's so small it fits perfectly in your cabinet so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

Use this more than blender and juicer

Got this as a wedding present 3 years ago and love it. Most used kitchen appliance we have. Great for after workout smoothies or fruit juice blends. Plenty of power when i add ice cubes to blends. Only issue weve had was the blender attachment had an issue but Breville replaced at no cost. Always nice to see companies stand buy their products.

The base is bigger than it looks in the photos. The insulated cup holds less than it looks like it does in the photo. I wish it came with more than 2 cups. Does a great job at actually blending. It can be very difficult to unscrew the blender attachment from the cup after blending.

The best blender I've ever used!! Smoothies and shakes come out velvety, motor is not as loud as others (NutriBullet, Vitamix), and very easy to clean since it's dishwasher safe. I've even gone as far as returning my food processor because I made a few sauces in this blender and they came out great! This is my second Breville kitchen appliance and I'm not sure I'd ever buy a different brand again. #BrevilleCustomerForLife

Lid leaks and sprays contents all over walls and causes power switches to lock

The lids leaks from both the tumbler seal as well and under the blade system. This causes liquid to projectile spray all over the kitchen. It also causes the power switch mechanisms to get sticky liquid in them which dries and prevents the switches from activating without brute force pushing them in (with it unplugged) and there's no way to dismantle to unit to clean. The gear on the bottom also loosens within a few months of use and prevents activating the power switch mechanisms without re-tightening the gear. I just can't recommend this product due to multiple problems in design.

A Personal Blender for Smoothies and More!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Breville Boss last week and I have been putting it to the test. I have made smoothies daily for myself and my teen son. I am amazed that this little "gem" literally pulverizes not just leafy greens but also seeds. I use seeds often in my smoothies and with my Boss they are truly smoothed into my drink. It's great that this machine comes with 2 cups with lids. It works not only great with soft fruit but with the harder versions of vegetables like broccolii. The cups with lids holds the contents in nicely and does not leak. My son likes to make his own smoothie/ He brings his smoothie to basketball practice. It's nice to know this machine is easy to operate and just as easy to clean. The Boss not only works well with smoothies but has come in very handy when cooking. Last night, my husband and I were childless for dinner. We decided we wanted carrot soup. Typically, trying to blend and smooth to perfection carrots used to be a "pipe drem". Now, with my Boss I made a very smooth and yummy carrot soup for the two of us. I and my family will be using the Boss for years to come. The blades of the unit are the best I've ever seen, The technology of the machine is absolutely amazing. Breville has again, came out with another helpful piece of equipment for me. I and my whole family recommend the Boss to anyone who loves smoothies. The smoothies are #1 in my family's book! I love it!

Easy to use
