Fun Slide

While we haven't tried out the wet portion yet (too cold and we've got some snow), we've enjoyed the slide part, even in the snow. So far, it's held up well to my two kid's use...I have a 35 lb preschooler and a 55 lb and the slide is holding up just fine. Can't wait to hook up the water to the slide this summer!

With it being the middle of winter, we just use the slide indoors or outdoors when it is warm out. The slip and slide portion of it we cannot use as it is too cold for it right now. My youngest likes to play outside in the water during the warmer months, so I know she'll definitely enjoy that part of it when spring/summer comes around. She loves this set but she wishes there was maybe a choice based more towards a girl. The slide itself is pretty sturdy and we have yet to experience any bumps or bruises. I would not recommend this set for an older child. Would I buy this for my child? Yes, I would but only more towards the warmer months as half of this set is pretty much useless when it's bitter cold out. I love the idea and Little Tikes has yet to disappoint me.

Good for older kids....

Slide seems flimsy and easily tipped over. My 16 month is capable of climbing, but handles at top don't prevent falls. I don't trust her to use it without HEAVY adult supervision. Also, directions claim that steps can be easily removed. I did not find that to be the case. I had a horrible time getting the slide assembled, so there is no way it is coming apart for each use. Although, maybe I should since I don't trust my 16 month old around the slide.

We've had the Wet & Dry First Slide for a little over a month and my little ones are really enjoying it. We've been using it dry because it's a little cold right now, but we have used it wet once. Being able to use it dry or wet is my favorite thing about this slide, because I know the kids can use it all year long. The kids love having a slide outside that they can play with anytime. I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old, and it's just perfect for my 3 year old. It seems like it's a little on the small side for my 5 year old, when we are using the slide alone, however with the water slide attached, it's a really good size for both of them. We've used it wet once, on a warmer day, and the kids really loved using it with water. They had so much fun playing together, going up and down the slide and said they liked it best with the water slide attached. They are excited for it to get warmer so they can play with the water slide more!

Kids love this in any weather

While we did not hook in the water yet (considering we just got a foot of snow) I set up the slide in the backyard among the snow drifts. Both my kids were squealing with glee as they packed snow onto the slide to slide down. The slide itself is very well made, easy to put together and store. The extra plastic 'waterslide' bit is as sturdy as a standard slip n slide.
Think outside the box if you don't care for the plastic slide at the base of the big slide, there is so much more you can do with the slide then just using the attached plastic! Little Tykes products are timeless, well made, and will last and last and last. They are sturdy enough to handle rougher play from big kids, but can still be the perfect toy for younger kids.

Missing handles

I bought a First Wet and Dry slide from a gently used site but it didn’t come with the handles for the slide. I love little tikes brand and wondering if I can just buy the handles?
