Poor design, bad material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review regards solely the clip - not the headphones (soundsport in my case - actually love them).
In case of soundsport the clip is absolutely necessary for the cable to stay in the middle and not to fold under skin / clothes or move to either side, causing your head to block when you try to look side / back.
That being said, the clip sucks. It's just bad - bad design, weak material. Plastic broke in the thinnest place as predicted.
Bose, please design something of better quality, i'd gladly pay more for better quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've gone through 7 clips in less than 1.5 years of having SoundSport headphones. They all break at the same place, just in front of where the spring engages the plastic. The strength of the spring is good for retention to clothing, so it's fairly obvious the plastic isn't strong enough to handle the spring. I haven't done anything that would suggest that I'm breaking the clips. They just fail. In my opinion, this should be a warranty issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m about to purchase my 3rd clip because they keep breaking. I don’t workout with them, I don’t throw them in a bag or place them on a counter or dresser. Every time I use my earphones with the clip it’s in an office and when it needs to charge I put it in the case they came in and that’s where it stays. I’ll keep buying them because they’re cheaper than anything else out there and when they break I don’t feel terrible because it’s not expensive just annoying.

I’m buying a new clip almost every month. Owned these headphones for two years. That’s at least $100 spent on clips alone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my headphones daily either running or working out. The wireless headphones are incredible, great sound, long lasting battery. The clip is TERRIBLE, I have had my headphones 3 yrs and average 4 - 5 clips per year. While a very inexpensive part, Bose should look at redesigning this component.

I have lost two clips so far and I was just walking not. I don’t understand why Bose can’t change the design and make the clip permanently attached to the wire.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received Sound Sport as a gift, used predominatly when on a plane so very little movement but after 3 weeks clip came apart. Strong clip spring very poor and weak plastic.
