Prints and scans fine but it is very slow. I haven’t had much time to print or scan since new purchase. I have noticed the paper alignment for scanning is really small (not a lot of papers fit) and hard to align paper straight into feeder.
I had a very specific application that I wanted to use this printer for. I use in an office that for privacy reasons cannot have a wireless Internet connection. Physically a corded connection was not at all convenient. It was also difficult to plug in, so it needed to be able to work off a battery for extended periods of time.
In this office my only Internet connection is a wired, Ethernet connection. This little printer fits in a tight space. I goes all day for me without needing a charge. I can program it to shut down after so many minutes of inactivity, which significantly impacts the battery life. Then I can print to it tirelessly without a wireless connection using direct Wi-Fi all while not impacting my Ethernet connection.
I love that it is full function. I did a lot of research before I bought it. I was a little concerned that it would meet my somewhat unique and specific needs, but I could not be more pleased with it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are buying this printer for the Bluetooth connectivity don’t do it. It does not connect with apple products or chrome book, the reason I bought it. I got it to connect with an older android phone but sadly no print service or connectivity with that. So now I have the same printer I had before just with a scanner attached. The scanner is about the only plus to the upgrade from the 200. If I would have known this I would have stayed with my separate portable scanner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this printer 2-3 weeks ago. The cord doesn't stay in port. The Error message reads "Battery is faulty - must be replaced". This is suppose to be a top of the line printer!

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer is not working like it should. I can understand why a power cable that does not stay where it should, followed by an error message, would be unnerving and frustrating. With that in mind, I’ll offer what I hope is helpful information and resources.
I can’t tell what’s wrong with the power cable or what’s causing the error message, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
I thought this device was direct wi if & blue tooth capable
