Forget About RMA

Bought this last year and one of the cameras has become faulty in about 9 months. Reached out for RMA and they will give you the run around. I can understand making sure the fault is not because of the user but asking if you've reset the thing for the 100th time isn't going to make a difference. I have provided pictures of all aspects of the problem, followed Swanns checks to the letter and now gone full circle in changing settings that aren't related to the problem. Simply stalling tactics. I have lodge a complaint with fair trading. To top it off, its a pretty average product with sub standard security. The management console doesn't work with new browsers. Had to resort to IE. I work in IT, so I'm not clueless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please know that our items have a 1-year warranty provided a copy of your receipt or 18-months with valid registration. Need assistance in getting an rma to send this unit back. I requested an rma about 2 weeks ago. Have tried to call and have not been able to get a hold of anyone. The hard drive is bad since the swann logo comes up then nothing then the hard drive it starts clicking. I have a good bit of knowledge about computers so I aware this is a indication of a bad drive. And we are going to need a wired connection instead of wireless. The camera 's worked fine, however, we have satellite internet and wireless is not going to work. I just did not consider this when I purchased them. We would also like to find out how much your pro installation costs.

I have two NVR s NVW-490 I bought one 12 months ago and 2nd one a week ago as I though Quilty improve but I unsatisfying at all and have the same problems 1) antenna is loose and never stand 2) mouse very poor quality and not reliable And I have to reset recorder and change usb to work And I have to use different mouse 3) power adapter for recorder and camera not reliable and I have to to different 2 amp and 1 amp To work Only this is good Is your team support and help they offer

This camera system has a range up to 100ft / 30m, Typical 50ft / 15m (depends on local conditions).Wi-Fi signals can be reduced by many things around the home. Take into consideration the number of walls the Wi-Fi signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the Wi-Fi signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the Wi-Fi signal. Some experimentation with locations may be required to get the optimal signal, check the signal strength in the app to give you a guide on the most suitable placement options.

Does the job if you can't run cables

It does the job if you can't run cables. As I have a double brick and concrete slab home, running cables is near impossible unless I spend thousands.
This setup did the job, though, Wi-Fi signal strength is poor and the cameras very often drop out. In addition 1080P isn't that great. I understand the limitations, but 4k is a must.
Once these start to fail I'll be upgrading to 4K and runnings cables. No point recording an incident if I can't identify people or car rego's.
