Expensive disappointment

I believed in Mellisa and Doug sales pitch about quality and role play learning. It took 2.5 hours to put together and 3 weeks to fall apart. 3 year old nephew loved it till steering wheel falling off and the center of the truck tore all the way down on both sides. 3 year isnt big enough or strong enough to destroy supposedly sturdy cardboard. Now nephew crying because he cant play in it. I wish I could give 1/2 star because it doesn't deserve a whole star.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The kids loved this. It is very sturdy, terrific design, 13 year old helped put it together for younger siblings. Construction was quick and easy. It has withstood @6 weeks of daily play with children ages 3 to 10 and it still looks like new. It is very large and I would recommend putting it together in the room they will play with it. However the kids can move it about easily in the room where we put it. It was the best birthday present for our three year old, but his siblings ages 5, 8, 10 and 13 enjoy playing with him too. Two kids can easily fit inside to be the workers.

I hate to give just 2 stars, but we were so disappointed with the food truck. My 5 year old can't stand upright, due to the roof panel - I wish they had just left it open. The sunroof panels don't stay open and the speaker is useless. Also, there is very little space to put anything in the actual truck - the one window ledge slants down, so everything falls off - my little guys want to "cook" in there, but the little ledges inside don't allow him to put anything on them. We love Melissa and Doug toys - this one just needs some work/redesign.

BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! MY 3, 4 & 6 YEARS OLD GRANDCHILDREN HAVE A BLAST WITH IT. I ALSO PURCHASED THE DIFFERENT FOOD SETS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. THEY TAKE ORDERS AND PRICES WHICH ENCOURAGES MATH, AND ENGLISH. IT'S VERY STURDY AND IT'S BIG ENOUGH FOR 2 COMFORTABLY. THE 2 DIFFERENT SIDES MAKES IT EVEN MORE FUN.
