This rug is a bit pricey but worth the money. The rug is on the smaller side but it is perfect for rolling up and taking from room to room. It comes with A LOT of wooden pieces. We store the pieces in a basket and roll the rug. My daughter is able to take it from room to room and play with it. She loves it and It's a great way for her to use her imagination. Even my older ones like to play with it. Another great product from Melissa and Doug!

My 2 year old granddaughter spent 2 solid hours the first time she played with this! Suggestions would include paint on both sides of buildings, better hitch for the tractor/wagon, including some children pieces, and more fencing.

All wooden pieces should have image on both sides.

The rug itself is super cute and the wooden play pieces are beautifully shaped and sized for small hands. What would improve this would be for ALL of the play pieces to have the image on both sides. It's such a shame that the buildings are only decorated on one side whereas the animals and people are visible on both side of the pieces I bought the set to have at my house for my niece's little ones to play with when they come over. I noticed several times that one child would turn the piece around if the image wasn't facing him/her - and then sometimes the other child would reposition the piece so the image was then facing him/her all over again. For the price of the set, it seems one could expect all the pieces to be painted/printed on both sides.
