This was a birthday present for my one year old great granddaughter. it was perfect for her. The pieces were easy for her to handle and it was just enough of a stretch that she won't tire of the toy anytime soon. It was cute and really well made, too.

Great idea, cheaply made

Just bought the puzzle today and my son loved the wooden handles to grab the puzzle pieces, but once he was playing with then and had drooled and put one in his mouth, the paint started coming off. Turns out they are not wood, rather a cheap particle board. Melissa and Doug, make them out of wood!! Or seal them better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun First Puzzle!

This was my granddaughters first puzzle. It's fun and colorful....who doesn't like farm animals!! Now 4 years later she has passed it to her little brother...looks just like the day we bought it. He"s haveing just as much fun and challenge as his big sister. We love Melissa & Doug puzzles!
Pros: Can Withstand Use, Challenging, Educational, Entertaining, Fun, Interactive

My son got this for Christmas and he is a year and a half. He loves it. He wont play with other toys because he wants to play with this puzzle. I have a parents as teachers come to our house and they said he is so much more hand eye cordinated. I like how it has the picture under the puzzle to, it help him know where it goes and how it goes. I GIVE THIS 10 STARS!

Definitely not recommended for children who are teething and chew on everything they can get their hands on. My 1-year old granddaughter received this as a gift and the first day part of the picture on one of the pieces had been chewed off. Appears to be made of stiff cardboard rather than wood as described. The puzzle also has a very strong unpleasant odor to it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this for my daughter when she was 16 months old and she LOVED it. She still uses it at the age of 2; however, she can now do the puzzle very quickly so we are now looking for another M&D puzzle that is more challenging for her. I would recommend this to any parent.
