While these are cute looking puppets, on closer examination the fabric is thin near many of the seams of the puppets. It's as if the stitching is pulling away and the fabric is bare. An appearance like that should be after years of use not brand new out of the packaging.
Also the areas for your fingers in the puppets arms and the head are rather small. I now these are designed for little children's hands but I think even for them they don't allow for a comfortable fit and play. My almost 5 year old granddaughter was not that engaged and the 2 year old didn't know what to do with them. The baby just put them in her mouth as expected.
I think they will play with them but the wear on the fabric particularly is surprisingly disappointing. I would not have bought them had I seen these in person.

My special needs son loves the farm puppets. He pick an animal to play then tells us sound it makes. My daughter loves the pink piggy. The kids share the animals. They love all of the Melissa and Doug toys we have .

We love these puppets! My son had them when he was s small toddler and would just play with them with an adult to tell stories, teaching animal noises or just as a soft toy to play with and now he's nearly 4 and he puts on puppet shows with them! They definitely grow with your child.

Granddaughter loved these puppets! Very good quality! She and her 10 year old brother were already putting on a show for us on Christmas day. She is 7 years old and these puppets fit her hand just right! She has taken them along in the car while traveling. Another "home run" from Melissa & Doug!!!
