The carpet is thin and lightweight. Easy to roll out for play, quick to clean up and small enough to tuck away in a closet. Happy with the quality and bright colors. My son is 3 and hasn't really taken much interest in it since he doesn't know how to play hopscotch yet. I got it mostly to work on number identification so I'm sure the more we play together, the more he will take interest in it.
