Not a completely wooden toy

I thought I was getting a quality wooden toy but I was abit guttered to find that the digger is made of plastic. Wheels and both digger ends are plastic on the excavator and the wheels on the trailor and dump truck are plastic too. For the money I paid I felt these things could have been wooden as well.

Fender bender

Bought this for my grandson. First time he played with it the driver side fender came off. I'm not impressed. Guess this be our last purchase of Melissa and Doug toys.

My son loved this but not well made

We have had this truck for a short time. We have many melissa and Doug toys and have not had any issues; however, my son dropped this one on the carpet and it broke. The way the dump part is connected to the truck is not well designed. Considering this truck costs more than the others it's disappointing! He liked it while it was working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My son loves these.. But they need to be the same size!

I love these trucks. They are nicely finished with rounded corners and bright bright colors that my son loves them. I bought these with the trailer and excavator set and the only thing I could find fault with them is that they are not made to scale. My kid doesn't care, but it does bother me since I am a bit OCD.

We find the pieces to be well constructed. Moving parts work well. Little nephew loves to play and create scenarios. He even likes to tuck the pieces in with himself when he naps! Have purchased other pieces and sets. Equally pleased.

Gave this as a birthday gift to my grandson. After less than 36 hours of play time the dump truck broke. He loves the rest of the set, but the dump truck bucket broke off of the truck. He was very upset.
