Best Fig Pack Of 2019
on April 8, 2019

Pros: No stickers. At 7 cents per part this is a great army builder value and the best way to get the guards in bulk. Simple build and it does connect to the 75216 set. The little combat droid is a nice touch as it was cut from the actual movie but nice in a set. It can be easily reused as a interrogation droid.
Cons: None, this set is a good value and has good collectible figures.

What we would expect..

It has great figures first of all! The play features work really well, and when the figures “duel,” they don’t fall off. The weapons are also beautiful!

Great set overall!

This set has a good selection of minifigs that were sorely needed in the lineup, and they even improved the original design of the Praetorian Guard, now with actual pose-able legs!
Having a normal trooper in there also helps the army builders while giving some variety. The included sparing droid also is a neat side build that is actually useful.
Oh and the gear! The stud shooter, Guard's staffs/swords and the two kinds of helmets match the movie counterparts well. The main battle area is also quite spacious for two minifigs to duel on, but you'll have to accept the other guys won't fit with them. If it was big enough for 4 figs or included another element for them, like a seated waiting area, it'd be a perfect 5/5 for play but this is so close to perfect most people won't mind.

Feel the true power!

Feel the power of the LEGO Community and Star Wars fans alike. We asked for it and LEGO made it for us!
Elite Praetorian Guard™ Battle Pack set# 75229, with 109 pieces. The set comes with three Elite Praetorian Guards, a First Order Stormtroopers, training droid, weapon rack and a training platform.
The Praetorian minifigures have new style helmet and weapons. The figures now have minifigure legs in place of the robe style found in the Snoke's Throne Room set #75216. This gives you much more ability to pose your minifigures in more action poses. You can also attach the training platform to the Snoke's Throne Room to expand your play. I picked up two of the battle packs and attached the platforms on each side of the room.
The Elite Praetorian Guard™ Battle Pack is a easy build with unlimited playability as a stand alone set and as a expansion to your collection. The price point is very good for what you get in the set.
Happy building to everyone.

Great Figures, boring build.

Overall, I think this is an excellent set. I particularly love the training droid and think that a similar design could be implemented in the Inferno Squad set for Iden's droid. The actual build is simply some rotatable plates on a stylised stand and is not exciting in the slightest, but meets playability purpose. That said, the Praetorian figures are brilliant with excellent detail, and accompany the Snoke's Throne Room set perfectly. Perhaps another Praetorian guard or General Hux would be more appropriate than the stormtrooper. I am not fond of the pointed mouth design on the stormtrooper, the rounded mouth was more aesthetically pleasing. I know that pip blasters are in the sets for playability, but they are bulky and not good for displays. I'd much rather have the proper blasters that at least resemble that of gun, rather than appearing like a megaphone. Overall, the figures are definitely the valuable component of the set, like any other battlepack.

It's got decent figures. The Praetorians are not my favorite and the one figure that stands out is one lonely Stormtrooper who the printing on the helmet I don't like actually. The mouth is too much like a 'W'. The rounded mouth design is more preferable.
