I've been a big fan of Otterbox cases. I've bought them for my family's phones for my Samsung and LG phones, and now the Pixel 3 XL. The protection is in the best and I've dropped my phone onto the concrete and the case has protected the phone flawlessly. The only gripe I have is how the phone clips onto belt clip. Before I say anything more, this is NOT a design flaw or Otterbox's fault. This issue caused is how the Pixel's volume button's volume control placement is on the phone. It is smack in the middle of the side of the phone. Because of this, Otterbox has had to offset the tab that holds the phone into the belt clip. This means if you are right handed person and need to put the phone into the holder, the phone is upside down when you put it in and draw it out. If you try putting the phone with the top of the phone pointed to front, the tab that presses against the middle of the volume key, unless you flip the phone around. The case offers the best protection. But because of the button placement on the Pixel 3 XL and probably the 3, this case is pretty much only functional for lefties.

Second Otterbox case.I bought this for my Pixel 3xl, Not Pink phone when I needed to upgrade my phone. It is a nice combination. I got a compliment on it from daughter. I was hoping to get amplify screen cover with it but it is out of stock. The Zagg screen cover bubbled up on the bottom edges when I put the Defender on. Other than that I like it, the other Otter I had kept my phone safe for 5 years and counting.

I bought the defender case because I have used one on my last 2 phones and are great. I wish they would make the symmetry case with a rubber backing grip that would be amazing. When you go to snap on the case the bottom corners of the screen come up. I tried plastic and a tempered glass screen and it did the same thing. Product needs to be remanufactured or you can't use a screen protector.

I've used OtterBoxes for years on my previous phones because the case comes with a screen protector. This case protects the phone from drops but since it has no screen protector it can't protrct my phone from scratches to the screen, which is something I expect from a $50 phone case. If my screen gets scratched or cracked the phone is kind of worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It does provide excellent protection for my Pixel 3 XL, but when on the wireless charging station it doesn't work consistently. I'm guessing it's just a shade too thick. That makes it inconvenient as heck, so I only use it in high risk circumstances like when speed walking or hiking. Pity... I otherwise really appreciate it.

Same outer case that Otterbox has been known for, which is nearly indestructible, though the huge drawback of this case is the lack of a screen protector. There needs to be *some* kind of included solution for protecting the screen instead of just ignoring the issue. Otherwise, the case meets the Otterbox standard we've all become used to.
