Connecting to Iphone 6

I have loved my Speaker, I recently purchased an Iphone 6 and with the ios 8.1 it does not connect to my phone. Is there something I can do do allow the phone to find the speaker?
The sound is excellent from such a small speaker and I have loved taking it with me on trips and playing my music in my Hotel room. Please help as I have a big trip coming up and hope to be able to use my JBL.

Shuts Off Randomly

Great sound quality and conveniently small. I recieved this for Christmas and since, have returned one, got a new one however it wasn't a defect in one. They all turn off frequently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Product!

This is a great speaker and has given me and my family/friends a lot of enjoyment at picnics, camping, etc. Long battery life and impressive sound. The AUX cord is attached with its own storage...unfortunately when the cord goes bad you are done. Would be nice if it had a detachable cord so you can replace it when/if it goes bad (like mine has). Using bluetooth decreases the battery life of both the phone and the speaker, so it was nice having the cord to plug into my phone. Otherwise, a great device that is well built and deserves the awards it has won.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For my car and home stereo

The jack on the side of the speaker work as both an input and as an output.
Plugging the mono speaker directly into a music player provides not hifi but surprisingly good mono sound quality for a small portable speaker.
Use your phone to send a bluetooth signal to the speaker and the stereo jack and wired stereo plug become stereo outputs ready to plug into your home stereo etc.
I use this speaker with its volume knob all the way down to save battery and its audio wire plugged in to my car stereo aux input giving my car bluetooth.
Listening to my music full volume while driving, pausing briefly to give me navigation dirrections etc all through my car stereo is quite nice.
This will work with any home stereo, car stereo, boombox or other audio device provided it has a aux input jack of some sort.
I use it at home to give my home stereo BT.
The compact portable use of this speaker is just an added plus.
Noticeably better sound than other speakers of `similar size' that I have heard.
No microphone, no controls beyound the volume knob and its power button that also functions for BT pairing. I have about 2 years of use on it right now.

Works fine but why does battery drain?

My JBL Micro Wireless works fine except when it sits unused for more than two days the battery will drain. At least ten times I have gone to use it, it has been completely dead, and there's no such thing as a quick charge, so I couldn't use it. Am not sure why this happens, so am forced to leave it plugged in and charging.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
