Unreliable and Unrepairable

I purchased a Danby Silhouette Wine Fridge just over three years ago. The fridge stopped working in January. We have had two appliance repair people look at the fridge. The first said the fridge was not worth repairing. The second said the electric panel was gone and, if. Panel could be purchased, would cost more to buy the part than the original fridge. And that the issue could also involve the compressor.
This is the third Danby wine fridge we have owned that has stopped working within 3-4 years of purchase. Each time they were determined by repair technicians to not be repairable (i.e., parts are more expensive than the fridge). We bought the Silhouette not knowing it was a Danby. Had I known, I would not have bought it.
If you want a reliable appliance, DO NOT BUY DANBY. They may look good outside and be less expensive, but their mechanics are cheap and not reliable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this to replace our previous Danby wine cooler which lasted 6 or 7 years and cooled countless bottles of wine, beer and soft drinks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good purchase

So far happy with the cooler..no delivery problems, keeps the wine cool both white and red. I keep the LED lights on all the time and it serves as a nightlight going down the stairs to the family room. Looks great and works good too.
I would recommend this to a friend!
