Just started brewing my first batch today. It was really simple, the instructions were clear, and it's fermenting now. I can't wait to try it in a few weeks.

Great intro to brewing

This is a great kit to get started with brewing and I recommend it for anyone into beer and DIY.
Pros:
price - I'm somewhat surprised by the quality and amount of beer I can brew at home for so little cost compared to buying a case.
ease of use - you have to clean and have patience during brewing and conditioning, but otherwise the process is straightforward with easy to follow instructions.
resulting beer is great - as I said above, the beer is top notch.
Con: you need patience, which can be hard for the first beer . You also need bottles. This is a little disappointing if you aren't prepared for that reality. But on the good side, it allows you to choose your bottles!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mr. Beer Got Me Back To Brewing

I got this kit because it was good for small batches. I had been brewing 5 g in a Cooper Kit for several years and wanted a smaller kit. I always liked the Cooper kits and the beer I made from then. I read that Mr. Beer was the same product and that convinced me. I like Mr. Beer videos and watch them on YouTube

I bought this for my husband and was so excited for him to try it because it looked really cool! But the seal in the jug is horrible and leaks like none other even with multiple new attempts. Maybe if it were replaced, it might work better? Otherwise I just want my money back.
