So disappointed in what should have been a quality product. For shame, GE. Similar to others, the electronic display began going out. We determined it wasn't worth it to replace the control panel, so the timer countdown and the clock are now completely useless. Even worse, the turntable continued spinning even when the microwave (and the fan) were completely off – even when we opened the door. The motor continued to operate and heated up the glass tremendously. We are now stuck having to purchase a new microwave and a new trim kit and hope that it will fit into the cabinet. We will not be purchasing another GE model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear of your experience with this microwave's display and turntable. In some cases, such as this one, it can be more cost effective to replace the unit opposed to repairing it due to the age of the appliance.

Stay Away from GE Cafe Products

As with many other reviews, this GE Cafe microwave has broken three times in the past five years. Each time the key pad was the issue with various pad functions ceasing to work until the unit was useless. There clearly was NO evaluation or testing completed on this model prior to mass production, especially with the electronics. The GE Cafe line has now earned a poor reputation when it was marketed as a higher-end series of products. I also had significant difficulties with the GE Cafe dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This can be done by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in. Expensive touchscreen control panel quit working after four years. Not worth the money.

Refund All Customers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Terrible model should be recalled and all owners refunded or given a replacement. Magnetron went out twice. Issues with wiring and door hinge. Just overall poorly built appliance.
