Terrible installation design, cute dollhouse

The instructions are clear but the design of the bolts and barrels is seriously flawed. Some of the holes are misaligned making it impossible to put them together. Also the barrel moves as soon as you slide it into the hole making it very difficult for the bolt to catch since you have no way of seeing how the barrel is aligned.
It's a design based on the ikea model but poorly executed. Also some of the wooden pieces are warped making it hard to fit together.

I love the colors. I love the furniture. I wish there were a couple more dolls, since the twins are s haring this toy. I will have to order them. I am not thrilled with the elevator. after a couple of days it wouldn't stay in any position other than ground floor. We rigged it with a q tip. Other than that , the 2 yr old twins love it!

My 2 & 4 year old granddaughters play with it every time they visit. Both are enthralled with it for different reasons, based on their level of play. Really well built playhouse. My husband was able to get the elevator to work - we had read that others weren't able to. It does not hard stop on each floor though, but my girls love to make it go up and down with some critters in it.
