My brother got this for my daughter for Christmas and I am in the process of putting it together. It has a large footprint and I am perplexed as to why more storage wasn't designed into the base. I plan to put it in the center of her play space and consolidate storage below, but the sides are open and whatever I put beneath will be visible. It seems like a missed opportunity. So far, it's feeling like a waste of space. I hope I'm wrong. I gave 3 stars as a midpoint. Rating it is premature but mandatory to complete the review.

I've had this Table for 5 years!

We purchased this table 5 years ago for my two boys to play with their trains. They have since grown out of trains and into Legos. I repurposed this table by gluing Lego base plates to one side and painting the other side with chalkboard paint (I would not recommend doing this if you're worried about ruining the table or if you plan to not keep for a long time and resell). They still use this everyday. It's held up extremely well considering how hard they are on everything. I love many things about this table over other tables I've seen but the one thing that makes this one so awesome to suit my needs is the fact that you can take off, move and flip over the green surface. This has made it easy to keep clean and easier to use it for multiple different things.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not what I expected

Lets get it right on description, the panels are not solid wood, but painted press wood, which is easy to see from the screw holes. Incorrect size of surface panels (too narrow and too short) creates gaps that could lead to possible injury for those curious little fingers. Also, there were numerous defects on paint surfaces, especially green panels. Melissa&Doug could and should do better quality control than that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this table (and the train set) last year (2020) for my grand children for Christmas. They love the table and the train set. Assembly was easy, although I had to make a few modifications to remove the gap between the table top and the outside edge (finger pinching hazard); I added a strip of 1/4" plywood to both sides to fill the gap. Mom & dad love it as well, makes for a great activity table.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this table! But the only downside is the drawer is small but plenty of room for storage underneath. I'd just wish more drawer space!

Board came damaged - need quality check

We got this table as a gift, I spent all the time to put this together and then realized the top came damaged and one seems to be uneven too. They need to check the quality control so that customers don't' have bad experience. Overall, it looks sturdy and hoping the kid would like it. Now just have to figure out how to get fixed or return
