I purchased this calendar for my 4 year old grandson. He was very excited and goes to it each day to change the date. I think this is appropriate for his age right now, but I may purchase the monthly one in the future. It has a place for the current month, date and year, as well as a place to tell what yesterday, today and tomorrow are. It helps him learn days of the week and acquire some idea of days and date. There is also a place for daily activities, holidays and a spot where he can put up a little smiley/frowny/etc. face to let me know how he is feeling. All in all I am happy I bought this for him.

The calendar is very nice but I wish it came with more blank pieces for making my own daily events. There is not one for things like school, church or room for ones revolving grandparents that watch them regularly. No way to buy extras separately either.
I would recommend this to a friend!
