Bells and Whistles that Work

I did extensive research before purchase of this tablet and the features by far were what drew me to the Note 10.1. The biggest selling point for me was the weight and s pen. I'm a big fan of pen stylus' and have owned wacom tablets with all of my computers. The Galaxy Note 10.1 with the s pen is what I wished the wacom tablet experience to always be!
To be honest, the popup windows are nice but I have never really used them to date unless it was to look up a photo reference to sketch from. More than two popups significantly starts draining system resources.
I love this tablet, it does everything. It's portable, I can edit photos on the fly if I only need to do slight adjustments and touch ups, I can draw, I can surf the web, write my email and check facebook.
I can work. Which can be a drawback or a bonus, but being able to VPN and remote desktop into work and use the s pen as a mouse pointer is SO MUCH BETTER than trying to stab at icons with my finger! I don't have to bother with cracking open the laptop, waiting for the slow OS to boot up.
The plastic backing at first was a turnoff to me, but it makes the tablet so much lighter and who even looks at the back anyway! So it really is a non-issue for me as I keep a case on mine.
The upgrade to 4.1.2 jelly bean made a noticeable difference in smoothness on menu performance. It really is buttery smooth!
Chinese is also now natively available on the US version of the tablet after the upgrade and it's so easy writing Chinese with the s pen and doing handwriting to text.
The voice to text is really good in English, but really funny in Chinese since dialect and phonetics makes it nearly impossible for a voice to character software to ever work properly.
Best investment ever!

Great Tablet

I bought the Note 10.1 to replace an aging Acer A500. It is a solid performer, even more with the 4.1 update. I have no complaints, other than it has a proprietary charging port and no secondary HDMI/Micro or Full USB ports. That truly was a feature I miss from the ACER A500. Will definetely like to a 16-Pin adapter that would have an HDMI, Micro and Full USB port as well as a 16-Pin Samsung Proprietary port so that you can charge your Note 10.1 while using HDMI/Micro/Full USB Ports.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, price, proprietary port, lack of output jacks

Since the OS update to Jelly Bean, this device has been the perfect companion to my Note II. Syncing between devices, using my Samsung account, has me up-to-date at all times. It's a workhorse for work and play.
Seamless implementation of the Premier Suite.

Before I purchased the note 10.1, I was going to go with the Ipad 4. I am so glad I did some more research and went with this. The features trumps the iPad by a mile. Especially with the Jellybean upgrade and multi-window function, I find myself using this for work more than my computer. The display isn't as great as some other tablets out there but definitely not bad quality. The functions and features is unbelievable for productivity. Great Job Samsung! Keep them coming!

I love the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The product speaks for itself. It has all the features that I need. Great sound quality from the front panel speakers. Beautiful graphics for watching videos. Editing my photos with photoshop. It has great speed while surfing on the web and I can save my files and music to my sd card.

i would not go to any other product. this has everything you need and more. i just wish they would come out with a cover with a keyboard, since i do alot of typing and caring an extra accessory is pointess.

Well well well...Nothing bad to say. This is my first Tab and no regrets. I have the Galaxy Note 2 phone as well. I just firgured out how to text from my tab. It links with your galaxy phone by using Tablet Talk. I paid for it and no regrets. I can rcv text from my tab as well as send. It will also let you answer calls from it as well with ur bluetooth headset...again i luv this and glad i made the purchase. actually just rcvd it three days ago and cant put it down.
Thanks Samaung, keep them coming.
Oh yea some of the apps do not work with th 10.1 note at this time, but i spoke with the techs and they are working on it.
The price was a bit much, but i guess you get what you pay for and Samsung gave more for the price!
