Left Pad for the Tablet. Although the Pad was good...I love the freedom of the tablet. I'm an Android User and the platform on the tablet is very similar to what I have been using for years
This is a great tablet. The S-pen is the future of tablet design. It is fast, light, and has a pretty good battery life. There are some functionality issues when using the pen however. The palm rejection does not reject when you press the notifications area pop up, which can be very frustrating. Also while S note is a good idea, it lacks any editing functionality, and cannot do something as simple as make a numbered or bulleted list (it can make bullets but extremely hard to get it to recognize the dot). And unfortunately Snote is probably the best software out there. I was also very disappointed that United States does not receive the cellular compatible version. The loss of flash player support is also a big disappointment, and although this isn't Samsungs fault it is still a problem. My final complaint is the release schedule for the OS update. Germany has been the first to receive the update. But Samsung has not told the U.S. when we will get it. I may just return this and wait for the next gen.
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, lack of updates, s-pen is not totally tweaked yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

After receiving m note for Christmas, i have been have a great time with it. Very capable and responsive, although I have noticed a very slight lag at times. Still working on setting it up to suit me so not sure if I might have caused it.
2 main things to set this tablet above the rest are s-pen and 2 gigs of system ram.
Have had this tablet for almost a month and so far have loved it. The s pen is a great tool. Still learning all the features but so far samsung has created one of the best (if not the best) tablet on the market. It is not high def but it still looks great. The s note program is very nice. This tablet has great multi function abilities, example is being able to have the internet and the s note program running at the same time in split windows. If you are looking for a tablet to work on and to play on look no further. Samsung has done a very fine job on this tablet and i would recommend this tablet to anyone.
I like s-pen because i'm old. Design is beautiful.

Love my note!

I had been using my daughters iPad for a few months for my Real Estate business. It was lacking in a few functions that I really needed so after doing my online research on sever different types of tablets, I ask my fiance' for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for Christmas. I love it, easy to use, great sound, and comes equipped with software that is great from my business, sounds great, picture is great, and I love the light weight and design.
Since purchasing the note 10.1 I've hardly used my laptop. the stereo sound has made many users of other tablets jealous when they see me watching movies, and the ability to multi-screen is amazing. The best thing I didn't expect is that the battery life is awsome, often I am on the road and don't have the ability to charge it every night but it manages to stay alive and on for several days with no issue.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, long battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

The update took away the mini popup Snote and other stuff see my comment in support comunity. I like using it to learn japanese by writing in english and Japanese in Snote. I like doodling on pdfs in Snote. I like entering most text by handwriting; it guesses pretty good considering my sloppy handwriting. I don't like having to press the back button many times to exit an App. PStouch is fun for editing photos but I keep having to find tutorials because the buttons don't have labels. I don't have wifi at home so when something tries to connect I have to backout of web. It has signature unlock but it is low security so is face unlock. Is a good ereader. I like reading my word docs, excell on it; but am finding it a bit cumbersome to edit. I have found lots of Apps that work. I have to charge it about everyother day and it takes a little over 4 hours pluged into the wall. Connecting to my pc was akward. I had to connect and disconnect a few times before it started recognizing it correctly. I connect by usb as camera and drag docs and pdfs. Then i connect as ?device? and use Kies for pics, music, podcasts, etc. Couldn't get a video to work w/ Kies. The camera takes better closeups than my digital camera; but its a bit big to whip out for a quick pic. If you need help with it the website is so so. Pay attention to the dates because older versions are a bit different but can hint at what you might do. So if you like drawing and writing better than button pushing get it. If you are creative and curious get it. If you only want email and ereader don't get it.
