Quit sucking

I bought the Shark Navigator once upon a time based on a recommendation of a friend. The first stopped sucking during the first week. I returned it to the purchase location and got another identical. The second stopped sucking within 3 months. As I was in the middle of a major home remodel I stuck it in a closet because it was one more detail than I could deal with. Unfortunately, the warranty ran out while it was in a closet and now it just mocks me with the "Never Loses Suction" sticker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible design

My vacuum just barely arrived and the hose that’s supposed to connect to the main engine has such a flimsy locking system that it won’t stay put. Worst design I’ve ever seen. I literally cannot even use it. Packaging it back up to return. Save your money and don’t buy this product. Pictures show how I literally have to hold the hose in place to make it stay.

We have had this for 3 years now and still works as good as when we first bought it. Will buy another Shark the next time we are in need of a vacuum.

Plugged and Done

I loved this vacuum, excellent power and very easy to empty. After a couple years, it got plugged and a string clogged the roller. I think the belt is broken, but there are 8 screws to get into it. Watched the youtube videos,but can't find a long enough "security tork screwdriver" to do #8. Really disappointed that I am unable to service it myself for something that is probably an easy repair. If you want to buy one, watch youtube before you make your decision

Unbelievable suction

I clean houses so I have bought one of these every year on Black Friday. I don’t buy a new one yearly because anything is wrong with it. I do it for sanitary reasons. I have purchased one every year for 6 years and I love this vacuum. The suction is just as powerful a year in as the day I bought it. The detachable hose is so handy I can vacuum under and around anything. I can’t say enough about how great this vacuum is!!

Lost suction

Just after a few uses on the only two area rugs that I have in my whole home the rest is tile it has lost suction and the motor is defective
