Wish I'd come to this site and read the reviews before buying a box. Mine had the chemical (medicinal?) taste someone mentioned.No hint of butter toffee. Threw them all away.

I'm not sure what the rest of the reviewers are drinking but Gloria Jeans Butter Toffee is possibly the worst coffee I have tried. I tasted like hot water a touch of brown food coloring with a hint of toffee. I never write reviews but this coffee is pretty bad I had to make time @ 5:45am to write this, to save someone from making the same mistake I did. Stick to Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, or 8'o clock.

This coffee was very bland. It didn't have a toffee flavor at all, so I'm not sure why people say this tastes like butterscotch because it doesn't, at all. Like most Gloria Jeans coffees, this has a very weak flavor and the coffee itself tastes very watered down. Not very good at all.

I do usually enjoy flavored coffee. Let's just say this one did not meet my expectations. Well I admit it did smell great when brewing. But the taste was more like an acidic/artificial butterscotch flavor over a somewhat watery coffe aftertaste. I do understand they cannot roast it too much or make the coffee too dark to prevent hiding the toffee taste, but the overall balance in the mouth wasn't pleasing enough to have me order more than the sample pack.
Pros: Not Bitter, Balanced Acidity
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body, Not Enough Flavor

Loved the smell, Hated the taste

VERY glad I bought the sample pack. Smelled good while brewing, but the taste was so bad that I dumped it. I love a strong coffee and drink it black, but this was just too bitter and nasty to stomach.
