A Bakers Holy Grail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife is an at home hobby Baker and usually makes all our families birthday cakes or party treats. Since I am the husband I get tasked with all the grunt work which includes sifting all the powdered sugar and flour. I normally use a handheld sifter and it takes a toll on my hands. This sifter also has a scale at the base which helps with measuring ingredients by weight and gives consistent results. The sifter of course is hands free and has been such a big help to our baking routine. Since I been using this attachment feature my icing has come out more fluffy and the perfect smoothable consistency. It operates really quietly which is a big help for late night baking. I don't know how I've gone without this attachment. I highly recommend getting this attachment if you are still hand sifting. High quality product from a well known long time brand and very affordable.

Fancy and handy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it necessary? No. But it is very handy for small, precise baking activities. Out of the box, the scale tracked with my counter scale (which is not super fancy but is reliable). Intuitive design and, while there are a handful of parts, easy to assemble/disassemble. It is stays clean with all dry ingredients (i'm not sure what else you would use it for); however, when its time to clean it can be a chore. I will definitely use it for small bakes, it can get messy for larger recipes.

Everything turns out so much better and lighter after being weighed out and sifted. It does all the work while I'm busy getting other things ready. Such a time saver. I love this scale/sifter attachment.

Perfect for the house baker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my wife as she loves to bake and bring the stuff to work. First thing I noticed was the fact that the scale can be used seperately from the attachment if you would wish to do so. The cool thing is the scale measures the amount of ingredients in grams, oz, or lbs and when you're ready to sift you just turn on your mixer. The chute is adjustable for different size bowls as well. The attachment also comes with a nifty conversion chart which could be hung up in a cabinet or somewhere visible.

Nice idea

I like the idea of having a scale and sifter all in one, especially since I sifter my flour, baking powder or baking soda and salt. However when used on the mixer the scale is very sensitive and will change even after I tare it, whereas if I use it on the counter no problem with using it. Not sure why as mixer is on the same counter as the scale. I get that it has to be sensitive enough to measure the ingredients correctly, just wish I didn't have to measure ingredients with scale on counter top and then have to move scale and hoppet to the power hub to sift, it would have been nice to have an adapter so I wouldn't have to move scale from counter top to power hub to use hopper. It does an excellent job of sifting the ingredients and I like that I can change the rate at which it sifts. For the price and what it does you can buy a scale that is slightly bigger and hand sifter and save money and work on cleanup as I don't put good kitchen equipment in the dishwasher, I prefer to do them by hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A must have for any serious baker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really neat attachment. The design is super smart, yet easy to use. My only complaint is that the shoot into the mixing bowl isn’t quite long enough; some flour misses the bowl and falls onto my counter. It isn’t enough for me to stop using it (probably a couple of tablespoons worth,) it’s just a little annoying. Also my machine is 30 years old (manufactured in 1989,) so perhaps that has something to do with it (although it says it fits all KitchenAid mixers.) The scale works great and seems very accurate. I would recommend this product to any serious at-home baker!
