Needs finer sieve for flour

I have a child with celiac disease and have to sift the small particles out of almond flour and other non wheat flours to bake for him. I bought this sifter for that reason only! I got it today and sifted an entire bag of almond flour and not one tiny particle was sifted out. I wasted all that time just literally running flour through this thing and it did nothing. The mesh is not fine at all and there is no way this sifter can effectively do what it’s intended to do without an available replacement. Is there one? Or something that I can buy from another brand that will fit it? If not, it’s useless for sifting flour and that’s what most people sift. If the mesh were fine, this would be a great product!
Also, it does make a loud creaking noise while sifting but I’m guessing that’s normal for the metal rubbing against the mesh material with the wide holes. This mesh would never sift out anything SMH
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great unit attacment, just make sure you give it a good shake to release flour that didn't get released, if your are critical about your measurments. Overall this is a great unit and something I never thought I would even think about till I realzed how critical proper dry weight measurements are to baking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Face Mask Required

Purchased from a well-known retailer, I was excited to use this attachment. I wanted to make the job of sifting easier and more efficient. However, I found that the process of sifting flour into the mixing bowl to be a very messy process... even with the hopper lid in place! Fine flour dust escaped into the air while traveling down the chute into the bowl, covering all of my surrounding black appliances! No time was saved, and even more was used to clean everything up! I did note that the mesh is weave is quite wide, so this will not be preferable for some recipes that require a double-meshed sift. I’ll try it again, but I don’t see how this flour dust storm can be avoided, even with adjusting the flow valve. I didn’t think I’d need to wear my face mask while baking.
