Poorly Made!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting excellence from the Brand name Amana! This range is not worth the money paid! Turn the oven on and the surface of the stove gets to hot to touch! Dangerous with children in the home! The Amana name no longer stands for quality!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The elements don't deliver full power

Unfortunately, the elements on this stove have limiters that make boiling a large pot of liquid VERY slow. Not what I want.

This is a good basic range but has some flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range has weird burners that turn off by themselves when the stove decides. Also the oven light does not come on by itself when you open the door. Both of these features have been a problem for me.

Great stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this stove a couple of months ago. We didn't want a flat top and this was the one they offered. We lucked out. Turned out to be a great working one. The burners have a shut off feature when the pan is removed. Love the black and stainless steel color. If you still prefer a stove with burners this is the one.

Worst stove I’ve ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awful stove. Burners turn themselves on and off to control the stove top heat, but that makes it impossible to cook anything. If you turn a burner to high- it’s likely it will not do that. It might go to low but it also might surge to high and then immediately turn itself off. Other times it might surge to high heat and never turn itself lower. The problem is it is ALWAYS a guessing game- you never know what the stove is going to decide to do. Seems Amanda put out a stove that has an awful safety feature- they should have designed it better so you can actually use the burners the way you want to use them.., will Never buy Amanda products ever again as a result.

Love the features, but was looking for more old fashioned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason for purchasing this range was the price. I like the older styles of appliances, without all of the bells and whistles. I would prefer a model that did not have the timer or push button control for the oven. These are usually the first part of an appliance to fail, and the most expensive to repair. I have already started saving for a model that meets my requirements. Until then, the one that I have will do.
