problem with doors and freezer light

We have had this fridge for quite a few years, but there are a few things I have read in these reviews I agree with. The doors do not always seal properly and the freezer light works when it feels like it. There is nothing we can do now because the warranty is long past but I'm posting this as a warning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freak accident or design flaw? Not sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We kept turning the fridge temp up because the food and drink closest to the air in the back would freeze. Well, a can of soda froze, and the can expanded at the bottom to where it no longer could stand on it's own, and when it fell over onto the glass shelf the glass shelf shattered into a LITERAL million pieces all over the place. I've never seen anything like it and I've owned a dozen refrigerators in my life. Tiny shards of glass all over our refrigerated food and throughout the kitchen is problematic in any house, especially in our house with 3 kiddos. Aside from that, I really hate the door closing channel mechanism thing. Not sure what to call it. I think it's supposed to ensure the door seals when closed. When it doesn't work right, which it doesn't, the door on the left won't close all the way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
