Not all the latest innovations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator to match the color scheme for our kitchen appliances in preparation for a whole kitchen renovation prior to sale some time next year. We are using this renovation to "try out" a number of innovations in kitchen appliances such as an Induction cook top and the bottom freezer and French doors on this refrigerator. The French doors will be more useful once we get the various shelves organized to the right height and side so that both doors don't have to be opened to access the most commonly sought items. The shelving does allow better viewing of items towards the back of the shelves and puts more items at eye height as well. The bottom freezer that allows more items to be at eye height in the fridge portion also leads to less overall storage space in the freezer, particularly for tall items which run afoul of the slide out upper tray either when you try to pull it out or when you try to close the freezer drawer. I can see why a number of new designs have a second separate freezer drawer replacing the nested one in this design. I like having the temperature controls right up front instead of buried in the back. The full width deli drawer would be better if it was split in two matching the width of the respective French doors so as to not have to open both doors to extract commonly wanted items.

Not what I expected

I had to purchase this through the builder. I had an LG brand before and wanted one with the same features or close to it. It has most of the features so I thought I'd like it. We'll I don't really. It's not real stainless steel as magnets don't stick to stainless but do to this one. It's lightweight and cheaply made. The deli drawer is very cheaply made and I fear will eventually break. Size is good and freezer is good too. So is ice maker and filtered water. Just think it's not going to last. It feels cheaply made.

French Door Find!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator a few months ago and love this style. It was hard to find one with the interior water dispenser and French doors. We did get a ding in one of the doors when shipped and have been waiting on a replacement for a few months now. We would have liked the option to purchase one that was more resistant to stains and smudges. Overall though, it is a great refrigerator and we got a decent deal on it from Whirlpool Insider.

FYI, unlike most things, the lower number is hotter and the higher number is colder. I accidentally made this mistake. I thought one would be coldest. Oops!

Nice for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this frig 1 month ago as a quick purchase. I did not shop around because my old frig died on a 90 degree day. Hard to reach the ice in the freezer as the tray sits at the back of the top shelf. Have to bend way over to get ice. The doors do not shut on their own --I have to constantly make sure to push them shut after opening. When I close one door, the other pops open. It usually closes tight, but not always.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we had a 27 ft. side by side before , this 25 ft. puts it to shame . so much more space in the refrigerator section , it's amazing . every day my wife tells me how much she loves her new refrigerator . and so quiet , I don't hear it running at all .
