So far so good

So far we like everything about this model. The extra space in the doors due to the ice being down below is a big plus for our family. Lots of space in both the fridge and freezer - much better than our side-by-side we used previously. My wife could never get a cookie sheet in the freezer in that style. Now it's no problem. There is a lid to a slide-out that keeps coming off though, and that is a bit annoying. I think it's a meat and cheese drawer (at least that what we use it for) and the lid opens when you pull out the tray. Problem is that the plastic "hinges" do not stay on each time it lifts up and you have to keep putting the lid back on. That is a design flaw, but the only negative we've experienced.

What an upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our old side by side went dead I was definitely replacing it with a two door fridge with a freezer on the bottom. We hated the narrow freezer and refrigerator compartments on our old one. This new Whirlpool easily accommodates larger items. It's so nice to open the fridge and see everything! There's no water dispenser, so if you want that feature you'll need a different model. For our needs, we couldn't be more pleased.

New mochine, 2 weeks old, couldn't be happier. Temp. consistency, space for all we need, adjustability, soooogood looking, easy to clean, quiet, soooo glad to have made this acquisition for a most reasonable cost!

Love it. Am enjoying the double width. The doors provide a lot of additional space.I like the freezer on the bottom. Everything is a lot easier to access. I also like that the vegetable bin has a container to help maintain the gases so the veggies and fruits can last longer. I would have hoped that 2 would be supplied so I could do both bins.Another feature I really like is the meat bin contains my meats and cheeses separate and they too are easy to find.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Buy!

I bought this for our dream team room at our church. This is the room where all the volunteers that serve throughout the week come to check in, grab a snack and relax in-between their shifts. We didn't need a fancy refrigerator with ice and water, so this model was perfect. It is large enough to hold platters and lots of drinks and snacks for our people and looks great too.
