A Good Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator about a month and a half ago. It runs quietly as reviewed by Consumer Reports. The noise other people are talking about must be the ice maker. The plastic tray resonates very loudly when ice drops from above. It should be made out of a less rigid low temperature plastic. The two inch spacing between the rear of the shelves and the back wall hasn't created any issues. I assume it is for air flow to maintain a constant temperature throughout the unit. The factory presets were right on for the correct temperature settings. The one thing I am not happy about is the access to cleaning the condenser coils. They are arranged in a series of three inverted pyramids. There is no way to get to the last two groups. There is conflicting research data regarding the importance of keeping these clean. From my personal experience, this definitely makes a difference. So far I am very happy with this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and it looks great, and we love the features. It seems durable so far. The only issue we had was when they delivered/installed it they slid the frig in and it bent the water hose. Once we fixed that it has been working fine.

I bought this unit a month ago to replace my LG that "blew up" lost its refrigerant; this appliance is working just fine but I find the features to be a bit substandard when compared to my previous refrigerator. Would like another storage shelf along the drawer of the freezer. The thickness of the drawers is less and they wobble a bit when pulling out and pushing back in. I liked the sliding shelves offered in my previous refrigerator as well. I would be willing to pay for these upgrades in the future. I really like the size of this refrigerator and I hope I do not need to buy another refrigerator for many years in which case I would be happy with another Whirlpool.

Decent for what we paid

We've owned this refrigerator for a few months and are mostly satisfied with it. Initial quality is great. It seems to run a lot. We were surprised when it was delivered and the energy tag showed $25 higher energy consumption per year than in the store. This was not a huge problem but it was an unexpected one. After a few months we have found the freezer is poorly designed and hard to fit much into. Overall this is a nice refrigerator that is made in America and I would buy it again.

My daughter bought this for me over 1 month ago and we love it. The French doors close quietly and the modern closing feature is airtight.
