Looks great from a distance in the dark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The inside of this refrigerator looks great and is nice and cold. (it better be, it's less than a month old) Unlike our last unit, this one does not have sliding shelves. (which I knew before the purchase) I can't remember sliding a shelve so I enjoyed the cost savings. The bottom freezer takes so getting used to but not really a problem. The big negative is the exterior finish. When I did purchase the unit from a small appliance store from my local dealer only a white unit was on display with a "stainless steel" unit in box in the back. After reading the instruction booklet, it is apparent that the finish is really not stainless steel but rather a "looks like stainless". This hopefully will not become a factor as time goes by. If we had young people in our household, it might be. (we are two empty nesters in their 60's) I do wish I would have read some of the other reviews before this purchase but when the cold box gets hot one has to move quickly. I would recommend this to my friends but not to my son with his three children.

So much room!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appliance is a terrific value! It runs very efficiently and is absolutely quiet. Once the appliance was delivered the left door needed to be adjusted, and just like the trouble shooting instructions stated, the door came into alignment and works perfectly. Couldn't be happier with the stainless steel finish!

There's room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reasonably priced, and works pretty well, but a few features don't quite measure up:- Thermostats for cooler and freezer are just 1 thru 7; competitive units allow you to actually set target temperature.- Both fridge doors must to open to operate the bottom cooler drawer, restricting its usefulness.- Small items (including ice cubes) easily fall through the freezer's lower wire baskets and can be impossible to retrieve.- Ice maker doesn't turn off automatically when you pull out its bin, and so can dump ice directly into the freezer if you forget to disable it manually.- Extra framing and bracing for the ice maker severely limits what and how much can be stored in the upper freezer door. Competitors with solid rather than wire shelves in the freezer do a better job.
