Very happy with my new model

I upgraded to the French Door style and am very pleased. I can now see all the way to the back of the shelves without having to stand on my head. I was not sure I would like the freezer drawer, for fear I would forget what was on the bottom, but that is not a problem since I am in the drawer frequently for the ice and can see everything pretty good. I prefer the ice/water to not be in the door, which gives me more interior space in the refrigerator area. My friend has one with ice/water in the door and she has lost almost half of the interior top shelf for the mechanism. I registered for the warranty, but did not feel a need for the extended warranty as I have had wonderful long life from my other Whirlpool appliances for many years.

For the price, so far, so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always research any product I buy and this fridge was no different. I did read the pros and cons and weighed them both and I decided for the price, it would be fine.As the reviews have said, there is a very short dowel for the drawer (that slides out) and if you are not careful when you open the drawer lid and "move" it to the left of right, it will come off every time. All that needs to be done, is line it up and put it back on. My husband is working on a do it yourself fix it that will resolve the issue. Whirlpool could have easily resolved this by making the dowel longer.This is our first French Door fridge and you have to remember to close both doors. It's no big deal, only something we have noticed.We have only had our fridge about a month and we did take out the 5 year warranty IF anything goes wrong.
