Refrigerator of my dreams!

My husband & I purchased our French Door Whirlpool refrigerator 1 1/2 months ago. We had just moved here from Minnesota & the condo we bought came with a nightmare of a refrig. My dream was to one day have a French Door refrig & my husband spotted the one we ended up buying. I have never been so happy with a purchase! It is sooo roomy, the veggie & fruit drawers keep everything so fresh. We are both tall (hubby 6'4") so the refrig on top is perfect for us. The freezer is sectioned off perfectly. My favorite new feature is the pull out drawer for things like cheeses, breads, lunchmeats etc. We just couldn't be any happier. Thank YouWhirlpool!!!

yucky ice!

everything works and it looks nice...BUT the ice maker is LOUD and the ice tastes horrible.I have dumped out several bins of ice when I first got fridge, but after a month the taste is still there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this design as wanted more room at basically eye level with Freezer below vs side by side. Also enjoy the inside filter water dispenser. Takes so getting use to but filter water tastes great and eliminates unsightly external ice and water dispenser associated with hard water issues where we live

Entry level house; needs simple updates to features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appears to be a good product, drawers seem a little sloppy and weak ... specifically the plastic piece that goes over the larger drawer in bottom of frig. expecting it to break sooner rather than later. defnitely not like my prior GE profile but house already had Whirlpool in it so we bought to stay with the style of the other appliances ... honestly for a high level $500K+ house, the product seems out of its league ... more set for a $200 to 300K house expectation.

I love the size and features of this refrigerator. Unfortunately, there has been an issue with the doors not closing properly causing ice to form inside the refrigerator. There are only 2 adults in the household and if the doors aren't pushed firmly shut after every use the ice builds up. However, we believe this to be an installment issue. The drawers also don't close properly. But I'd rather double check the drawers and doors than pay for a service person to realign the doors and level the refrigerator. Yet, I'm hesitant to buy another one when I move in a couple of weeks and have to buy a new refrigerator for my new home.

Fridge can be thrown away after 4 1/2 years

After 4 1/2 years with this fridge, it started to lose temperature. Turns out it was a gas leak that cannot be reached! We can now throw this fridge away. Way to go Whirlpool! Are these disposable fridges?

WARNING: Will not last for longer than a few years

When we moved into our new house, we were delighted to find this Whirlpool refrigerator in the kitchen. We have lived in our house only a year though, and we found out today that our refrigerator has a freon leak. The cooling system in a refrigerator is a closed system, meaning that there is no reliable way to repair a leak. The repair person said it was time to get a new fridge. This one is only five years old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
