Replaced a side by side, and I love this fridge! It seems so much more spacious because of the way it is set up.

French Door REfrigerator

I bought this to replace side by side it has worked out really well having lots of space in freezer and the ice maker in the freezer compartment makes it great for entertaining. I would buy this over and over again. It was just what my wife was looking for

French Door Refrigerator

I don't like the french door design. I don't like the drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator because in order to pull it out, both door have to be open. I don't like the right vegetable drawer because it is too wide to pull out with just the right french door open, both doors have to be open to pull out one drawer. I don't like the freezer on the bottom. I constantly have to dig through the top items and it is smaller than the old side by side that I had, therefore, most of my frozen food is stored in my side-by-side refrigerator/freezer in my game room.

external water line hook up is mandatory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have an external water hook up for the ice maker. I discovered that for a bottom freezer, if you use a traditional ice cube tray, the water spills when bottom freezer is opened which creates a mess. Thus I cannot use the freezer to make ice. The Whirlpool customer service advised me to put in new plumbing. Not a satisfactory answer as there are millions of bottom freezer refrigerators in use. Since my old refrigerator has been hauled away I am not sure what to do about this quandary. I will probably return it.

Trouble from Day 1

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge delivered, plugged in, and the freezer door won't seal properly so ice is building up in the freezer... and the light in the freezer will not work. Service coming out to look at it... that was a good experience except for the 20 minute wait time to get connected to a service rep at Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator and Whirlpool dishwasher, electric stove top , and built in oven. So far we are happy with the remodel.
