Attractive but it came with some defects...

We are now on our 2nd refrigerator for our new home. The first one - the wheels did not move and scratched our new wooden floors in addition the icemaker did not work. The store exchanged it for a similar one/new - and in 2 weeks we have not had any problems.We decided on this model because we have another similar model for about 5 years without a lot of trouble - with the exception of the icemaker stopping to work after 2 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My new refrigerator

I love my new refrigerator. I have wanted a French door one for a long time, and it was well worth the wait. It is so roomy and I love the ice maker.

Working okay so far

I bought this in August and use it in my kitchen. It is a plain Jane but we didn't want all the fancy bells and whistles. We don't even like icemakers (big repair hogs) so we don't have this one hooked up. That gives us more room in the freezer for food.The biggest complaint is that the cover over the wide, center drawer comes off its hinges regularly. It is attached very flimsily. It goes back on easily but it is a pain and we shouldn't have to be fixing it all of the time.A repairman told me recently to avoid foreign-made appliances. "They're good until they need a repair and then they're done," were his words. Apparently, no one can get parts for them. Stick to American-made for your major appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything is right where it needs to be and works well. It loses 1 star for the left hand door not closing all the way every time. Once you notice it the slight little extra push becomes automatic and a non-issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator was installed about two weeks ago and I'm ecstatic. Our old one was so loud and the new one, while it runs quite often as is the nature of refrigerators, is really quite quiet in the scheme of things. The French doors are still a novelty to me and because we don't have in-door water, we have so much space in the doors for smaller items. The shelves are great because they can be rearranged independently on each side depending on what your needs are. Love the bottom drawer, we actually keep our berries, eggs, cheeses, and breads there. There is so much LIGHT in this refrigerator, I'm not always accusing my husband of throwing something out because I can actually see everything. And this fridge is COLD. I had to turn the freezer (also loving the freezer on the bottom and so organized!) up a notch because it was too cold. And the manual said to wait 24 hours after it's turned on to load with food (both fridge and freezer) but I didn't know that and had way too much stuff that would have spoiled if I left it in the coolers. There is no problem with the cooling in this refrigerator. I had ice cubes in about 3 hours from warm start up. It's nothing short of amazing, I highly recommend it. So in love with my new refrigerator!
