Very Versatile

I love this frig. I was running two refrigerators and now just run this one. The adjustable shelves and door compartments make it easy to fit in everything. There is plenty of freezer space and it is easy to keep everything organized. It is also extremely energy efficient. I saw a huge savings in my electric bill the first month.

Love my new refrigerator!

I love my new refrigerator! It's working out great for my family. Love having everything that I use at eye level. No more bending over to find something buried in the bottom back of the refrigerator. Only downside for me was it was 1/2inch wider than my original refrigerator, so I had to remove the baseboards in the housing area to fit this one. Wish they had made it 2-3 inches taller instead.

We are so happy with our new refrigerator. We checked Consumer Reports for their recommendations and they highly recommended Whirlpool. It is quiet, easy to arrange food in it and has tons of storage room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is awesome. The room and the features are excellent. We love the adaptability of the door shelves, there is plenty of space for bottles and jars of various sizes. The lower freezer has plenty of room and is easily accessible The clear drawer front let you see where something is so things are easy to find.

Not a Whirlpool Gold but still good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My only drawback was going from our old Gold to a "regular" Whirlpool frig. We needed one without water in the door and I wanted a bottom freezer, all on this model. After using it for a couple of days it was quite obvious that it was not built as well as my old Gold model but it does keep everything cold and the large full width drawer is nice. Still uncomfortable seeing the floor when I pull out the freezer drawer.

It does exactly what it should!

We live in a world where telephones take pictures and televisions stream the internet. It's refreshing to own an appliance that does just what its name implies very well and doesn't attempt some other function poorly! If you want a conveniently styled fridge that keeps food fresh and easily accessible at eye level, then this is the model for you. After 11 years of a side by side that finally bit the dust I really wanted a French door configuration and researched all the manufacturers and models thoroughly, via both the internet and trips to area stores to "kick tires". (Daunting!) Appliances have changed drastically over the last decade and it's no longer a simple matter to choose a reliable model with only the features you want. Eventually I discovered this fridge which was exactly what I was looking for. It is simply designed and user friendly without all the unnecessary bells and whistles. The use of space is maximized by eliminating the in-the-door ice and water feature ( and therefore the filter and related cost). We have always used bottled water so all I want is ice from my fridge. The shelves are deep and ample, and can easily be reconfigured to use the space exactly how I want to. I love that the "roof" above the top shelf is also usable space and not taken up with controls or filters. The controls are as basic as you can ask for and easy to use with fewer costly electronics to fail and cost bucks. The two crispers are very large and keep produce and fruit much fresher than my old one did. The pull out wide shelf underneath them is one of my favorite features and we use it for our dairy and cold cuts. The interior is very bright and the bulbs can be changed by the owner, unlike a competitor's that required a service call to do such a simple task! Perhaps the only thing I liked about my old side to side was the number and size of the shelves on the door. That was one feature I wanted to replicate because we keep a lot of condiments in bottles and jars on-hand and this fridge has room to hold everything on the doors that my old one did. (The one exception is a dedicated egg shelf.) There are 6 door shelves, 4 can be re-arranged, and two are gallon size. To the reviewer who couldn't find a place to stand his wife's wine bottle upright, I'd suggest doing what I did and store it in one of the gallon shelves on the door. It works perfectly that way. One of the things I liked least about my old side to side was the freezer compartment which was cramped because of the narrowness and it was tough to find exactly what was in there. When I cleaned it out to be taken away, I discovered items that had been buried and were out of date long ago. The pull out freezer drawer of this new fridge solves that problem. Everything can be easily seen, arranged, and gotten to. I find that I'm using things up quicker from the freezer because I don't have to unload the front to get to what's on the back of the shelf like I did in my old one. The freezer is also brightly lit. Ice is in the top drawer and you simply slide the shelf to access it. It makes a ton of ice quickly and I'm glad to have that feature back because the ice unit on my old one quit long ago. To those who have said the unit is noisy, I can't imagine why unless there is a problem. This fridge is extremely quiet in my estimation. We have an open concept kitchen/living room area with all tile floors and I hardly know that the fridge is on from the very low sounds it occasionally makes. My old one made a lot more sounds, most of which were very loud, so the new fridge is a pleasure in that regard in comparison. Also, to the reviewer who said his unit rolled on tile, we have not found that to be true. The fridge stays in place and doesn't move at all on our ceramic tile surface. All in all we are very pleased so far with this purchase. (Have owned it for a month.)
