Best compromise

We have had bad results with newer refrigerators, the brands I won't mention. Seems that they last 7 years, then die. Anyway, we replace our latest dead side-by-side with this Whirlpool with French doors and bottom freezer. This is a much better design than the side-by-side. At least you can put a pizza box in it and the frozen foods don't spill out onto the floor. It remains to be seen if it will outlast the 7 year plague.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this refrigerator a few weeks ago. Love the space, love the balance feel of the doors when you open them!! It looks great in our kitchen. We choose this model because we do not like our water source and did not use the ice maker that was in the other refrigerator .

We have only had the refrigerator about a month but it has met all our expectations and then some.It is so much easier to work with. The items within are all right there and you can see what your looking for and the bins are also right at your reach. We would buy another one without hesitation.

Extraordinary value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The French-door fridge design, which is the heir apparent to the bottom-freezer single-door fridge, is popular for many reasons. Having the freezer on the bottom is inherently energy efficient, the French doors on the fridge section eliminate the problem of left-swing vs. right-swing, and more of the frequently-used items are up at eye level where they're easy to spot and easy to access. This particular French-door fridge does it all at a reasonable price. It has all the essential features (icemaker, great lighting, two fruit-and-veggie drawers, snack drawer) and none of the expensive extras that I (for one) think are a waste of money (water dispenser, through-the-door ice dispenser, water filter, egg tray (experts recommend leaving eggs in the carton so you can refer to the sell-by date), etc.). Plus, I think it looks great.

The refrigerator we purchased was very resonably priced for a french door type. It is listed as 25 cu. ft. but is has a lt of interior space. you can also move the shelves around easily. It is a very nice product for the price.
