Great layout and design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought about a month ago to replace an old refrigerator. So far this unit is running great and I love the layout and design of the refrigerator. When my wife and I looked for a replacement refrigerator there were quite a few brands on the floor of the big box stores. The Whirlpool definitely stood above all others in quality and wormanship.

Great spacing

I bought this 3 months ago, and I have more room than I thought. My favorite drawer is the larger one for meats - it goes the whole width of the refrigerator.

Turned out to be a bad choice

The purchase turned out to be a very bad choice. Service call placed in the second week when we found out the freezer started to build frost and ice. The technician sent by Whirlpool determined it's the freezer door not manufactured properly and we need a new freezer door. It will take 6-8 weeks for the new door to arrive and before that we have to deal with the frost and ice in the freezer ourselves.Not a happy customer here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

French doors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good basic fridge.Simple things could make it much better like:Bottom drawer it is always coming offlighting is a poor design. the top shelf food can block the lightFreezer light doesn't always come onDoors don't always close completely causing fridge to frost up.

Spacious fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came with our new home, and we absolutely love it! The only draw back would be that you have to double check to make sure the doors are shut. Sometimes you think you've shut the door, but it's still cracked open.

Trouble with freezer door

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the fridge but the freezer door track got stuck the day after we bought it. We opened a ticket with Whirlpool and the repair guy, who was really considerate and professional, said he'd never run into this problem before and he would likely have to force the door open which would likely break the track. So he opted to order the parts before he did anything else, which should arrive in 3-4 days he said.
