Purchased this unit about a month ago and so far I am satisfied with the unit. Quiet, keeps items at the correct temperature, easy use of ice and water (even though not in the door) and really like the counter-depth feature.
Losing some space with this size does not seem like a major problem for my family.
Some exceptions: When opening the left hand door and then closing it, the right hand door pops open. However, it is not opened far enough for the alarm to alert me. This is something that I have to be cautious of all the time - doesn't make me happy.
And, it seems that moisture builds up on the door frame so I have to have the humidity control button on all the time. Does this add to the electric bill? That I do not know.
However, in spite of the above, it is a nice option

Good replacement for built in

Twelve years ago we remodeled our kitchen and bought a built in refridgerator. Now when faced with replacement, we realized the cost difference is immense. This counter depth fits in the area where we had the built in although there is a couple feet above that is now empty. We will likely need to get some cabinetry work done to make it look better. My only complaint so far is that I miss the fruit and veggie space. I would rather have one wide one than two small narrow ones. I can't even fit a stalk of celery in it. I juice so I buy a lot of veggies. This may not be as big a problem for others.

I purchased my Kitchen Aid refrigerator and love it. I had a small space so needed a counter depth refrigerator and thankfully Kitchenaid not only made one, but made a nice design. Love the french doors and bottom freezer. Very convenient.
