The week I bought this fridge, there was so much frost/ice on the light that the light could not turn on. Within six weeks, so much ice had developed on the bottom basket drawer that the freezer drawer would not close. All of the items in my freezer have frost on them. In reading reviews, this is a common problem that is not being addressed by Whirlpool. Whirlpool expects the owner to accept that it needs repairs immediately after purchase. Do not buy this product!
Pros: Attractive Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installed this refrigerator about a month ago and am extremely pleased with it. The counter depth design is wonderful so it doesn't stick out like giant box in my kitchen yet it has plenty of room inside. I really like the french door design and the bottom drawer freezer. The storage for large items on the doors is very convenient too. The refrigerator cools just right and the freezer freezes just right! The adjustable settings on the fruit and vegetable drawers really seems to keep my produce fresher longer and I love the bottom pull-out drawer in the refrigerator - I use it for meats and cheeses. The superior quality of this refrigerator is obvious in the way it looks and performs!

Bought this as part of a kitchen remodel. Love the counter-depth look, but the inside space is challenging to make work. I am also constantly checking that the doors are fully closed because they don't make a very loud sound when you close them, so I worry they are slightly open. There is an alarm but it is very faint and takes a long time to activate after you have left a door open.

We bought this fridge primarily for the counter depth size. It's been very good, though we did find that the upper freezer drawer will frost up if not pushed in completely. Merely pushing the door closed apparently does not push it in completely. Also wish the shelves in the fridge went completely to the back. The space allows things to fall through. But as a fridge and a freezer, it works very well. Noise has not been an issue, and the ice maker works so much better than our Samsung! It is smaller, of course, but we are a retired couple so it's all we need.

What a fantastic improvement over our last (came with the house) refrigerator which was so deep food was lost in the back and spoiled too easily because the appliance was not energy efficient. Now, not only does produce, meat, and dairy remain in like-fresh condition, but we can see and reach it. My only complaint is one has to open both doors to access the wide drawer.
