[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted a counter depth, French door refrigerator to replace a larger, side-by-side. This was one of only a handful of units that would fit in the space available. Overall, we are happy with it so far. The only thing that prevents rating it a "5" is an annoying "thunk" that telegraphs to the right-side door handle when the door is closed.
This is the second Kithchenaid appliance we have purchased in the past 2 years. We were very happy with the other.

Having hardwood floors we were concerned about damage to the floors from having ice and water in the door. Putting the water dispenser inside was a smart move. The desperate temperature control drawers keep produce and meets fresh for a really long time. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator

The ice maker only lasted two years, the drain tube was blocked with ice, leaked water on our hardwood floors and ruined them. The technician that came out, said that this was a problem with this model and we had to pay $150.00 to have the drain tube replaced. We are never buying any Kitchenaid appliances or Whirlpool because they are both the same company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went from the old one-door with freezer on top to this style. My husband LOVES this style, especially since he's tall and has a bad back. He doesn't have to stoop to get things out of the fridge. We opted for the counter depth, therefore the freezer is just big enough for storing food for the two of us. We don't use the ice maker, either. If we did, there'd be even less room in the freezer. I keep thinking I'm going to run out of space in the fridge, but I haven't yet. I chose white over stainless because of complaints about fingerprints. Overall, this is a huge improvement over the old style. I really like it.
