[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a month ago. Price was good as a discontinued model. Unit works well but layout could be better. Difficult to find space for tall items such as gallon milk jugs. The water filter and electronic touch pad are on inside top of refrigerator which limits space. Also, have to open door to access cold water dispenser.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Counter Depth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the counter depth size. It completely changed the look of my kitchen. The refrigerator area is actually quite roomy, to my surprise. I LOVE the deli draw. It's perfect for platters when entertaining. I did have to adjust the cooling dials. Unfortunately, the recommended settings froze a lot of food in the refrigerator area. The freezer area is much smaller than I had anticipated. Food falls behind the baskets if too full. I have gotten used to it so it'll make do. The refrigerator is super quiet! Hadn't realized how much my last one sounded like a lawn mower. KitchenAid is a trusted name brand that has proven to make quality products. I look forward to getting the matching dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for about a month now and I am very pleased with my decision to purchase it. I was replacing an ill- fitting, larger fridge and was warned repeatedly how small this new one would seem but have been very satisfied with the amount of interior space. With some thought, I am able to easily store the same amount of fresh food that I was before plus the shallow depth of the unit does not cause this fridge to cover part of my window trim like my old one did. Love it!

You have to remember that counter depth means less interior space, so if you have a big family you will need to think about this, but chances are you've got lots of unrecognizeable stuff in your fridge that should be thrown out. I buy 3 gallons of milk at a time and the bottom shelf doesn't have a support in the middle so it started to bend under the weight. Switched the milk to another shelf and problem is solved. Having the freezer on the bottom means the crisper is closer to eye level - you'll notice aging vegetables before they turn to green slime. An alarm sounds when the door is left open - great feature.
Pros: easy to use, Innovative, Convenient Features, Performance, Looks good
Cons: bottom shelf sags under heavy weight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As our old fridge was dying two months ago, I looked for a French door, water inside and counter depth to fit into a small space. This Kitchenaid was one of the few that fit the bill. Our appliance guys said Kitchenaid was one of the best brands, so we bought it, and we are happy we did! The temp setting assures us that our food will be fresh for as long as possible, and we have found that veggies do keep longer. The configuration is easy to change, and the humidity control does it's job in the summer. It is quiet, and the perfect size for the two of us with lots of summer visitors. It closes securely, so we've never heard the door alarm, but there is one!
