Terrible product

Assembly is no fun. Used the cars that came with it. They will not go around the curves. Making the whole thing pretty well worthless.

Disappointed

The cars get stuck/stop when making turns. Need more lift then go more downward. It’s to straight/even. My son just uses the table part of it which he can use any table!

Poor Execution

First, the assembly was NOT as easy as I expected for this being a Step 2 toy. Second, the cars don’t go all the way down! At first it didn’t bother my son, but now he gets frustrated with it. The cars don’t go around the corners. They stop.

Bad choice

There is no holes for screws. So that's really hard to assemble. I'll return it in the store and strongly not recommend to purchase.

Please note that we provide location points and not holes for screws as shown in the product instructions.
The pointed metal screws provided are self-tapping and will pierce the pliable plastic and form their own threads into product. Save time up front by using the correct size screwdriver type and head size to avoid wiggly screws during assembly.
Align the screw top with the screwdriver and apply direct downward pressure or force onto screw by turning slowly with screwdriver. The screw will drive into the plastic and create a hole. This would be the same or true of driving screws into a wood board such as decking or a 2 by 4 without a hole.
Think about hanging a picture on the wall of your home, if you put a new nail into an existing hole it would not have a strong hold. It is much better for you to create the hole yourself, so that every item is guaranteed complete alignment for the best and strongest results.
If needed or preferred, you can use a small nail with a hammer and pound a nail into plastic a bit to create a starter hole and then take out install screw. A power screwdriver or rechargeable drill can also be used to aid installing screws but be cautious as we do not always recommend as driving screws in too far with too much torque can strip out the plastic and cause other damage.

Poor design

My son is a hot wheels enthusiast, he was given the road rally raceway as a christmas present to sort of graduate from his stand alone track. When I was assembling the track I was super excited for him, unfortunately once assembled only 3 or 4 of his 50 hot wheels made it successfully down the track. I am very disappointed in this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to Step2 for letting me test this item as part of the Step2 toy tester program, my boys have enjoyed hours of fun with the Hot Wheels Rally Raceway! The product was easy to assemble and quick to assemble! I love the two cubbies to keep track of their race cars!

My son recently received this product as an early Christmas gift. He’s a race car enthusiast, and was very excited to play with this track. He was so disappointed when hardly ANY of his Hot Wheels cars would go down the track! They get stuck around the corners, and the there is not enough slope for the cars to actually make it to the bottom! Even the two cars that are supplied with the track do not work! If I could rate this product a zero I would! This track is definitely getting returned! Very VERY disappointed in Step2 and Hot Wheels for making such an inferior product.
